Mooring Financial Corporation to Sponsor and
Participate in Reston 2006 Triathlon
Vienna, VA. August, 2006 – Mooring Financial Corporation has announced
that the Company will serve as a major or “Ironman” sponsor of the 2006 Reston Triathlon,
taking place Sunday, September 10. A total of 11 employees, or just over one-fourth of
the Company, also will compete in the Triathlon. These represent members of Mooring
Financial Corporation’s asset management, servicing, accounting, Information Technology, and senior management
teams. Among the Triathlon participants are John Jacquemin, President and CEO, who has
competed in the event since 1990, Jim Meeks, President of Mooring Tax Asset Group, and
Kenneth Judd, Director of Finance & Controller.
The three-part competition commences at 7:00 a.m. E.T. on September 10 in
Reston. The triathlon includes a one-mile swim competition at Lake Audubon, followed by
a 22.3 mile bike course and concludes with a 6.2 mile (10 kilometer) run on selected
Reston pathways. Participants will cross the finish line at Reston’s South Lakes High
School stadium.
Mooring Financial Corporation has served since 2002 as a major sponsor of
this metropolitan Washington, DC community sports competition. The Reston Triathlon is
organized annually by the Reston Triathlon Association and is sanctioned by the USA
