Vienna, VA - June 27, 2006 - John Jacquemin,
President, CEO and founder of Mooring Financial Corporation, has
been awarded the Ernst & Young 2006 Greater Washington Entrepreneur
of the Year Award. Jacquemin received the top honor within the
Financial Services/Real Estate category. The Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes professionals in the
Greater Washington, DC area who have demonstrated excellence and
extraordinary success in innovation, financial performance and
personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Jacquemin
was selected by an independent panel of judges comprised of local
businessmen and women. The award was presented June 22 at
Ernst & Young’s awards program at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in
Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Mooring Financial Corporation,
headquartered in Vienna, VA, is a specialty finance company that

Prior to starting the company, Mr. Jacquemin
worked for Coopers & Lybrand as a management consultant for two
years, and subsequently became chief financial officer for CFC
Corporation in Pennsylvania, where he spent five years. Jacquemin
serves on the Board of Directors of Penn National Gaming, Inc.,
a NASDAQ-listed company in Reading, PA. Actively involved within
the Greater Washington, DC community, he is president of the
Jacquemin Family Foundation, which provides educational and artistic
opportunities for disadvantaged local area children. Jacquemin also
serves on the Board of Directors of The Wolf Trap Foundation for the
Performing Arts.
