Mooring Financial Corporation Selected as One
of Top Corporate Philanthropists by Washington Business Journal
Vienna, VA. February, 2006 – Mooring Financial
Corporation was selected as a top corporate philanthropist by the Washington Business
Journal in their annual publication, 2006 Book of Lists – A guide to the biggest and
brightest companies in Greater Washington.
Mooring, under the direction of John Jacquemin has had a long history
of corporate giving. Mr. Jacquemin’s emphasis on giving, through both Mooring and the
Jacquemin Family Foundation, has concentrated on providing educational and artistic
opportunities for disadvantaged children, primarily in the greater Washington DC area.
One program that John Jacquemin has strongly supported for more than a decade is the
childhood education program at the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in
Vienna, VA. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Wolf Trap.
