Mooring Capital Fund LLC (the Fund) is a private, closed-end fund that operates similarly to a commercial mortgage REIT. Since inception in 1999, the Fund has consistently provided above-average returns to investors by purchasing and managing performing, sub-performing and non-performing commercial loan portfolios. Most of these loans are secured by real estate. The Fund originates asset-based business loans and invests in a variety of business ventures through the purchase of capital stock and partnership interests. The Fund prides itself on working closely and cooperatively with borrowers.

The capital of the Fund has been contributed by John Jacquemin and additional accredited investors. The Fund is managed by Mooring Financial Corporation, headed by John Jacquemin.

The Fund acquires commercial loan portfolios from various national banks and other financial institutions. Lenders sell loans for a number of reasons, including the need to monetize loans, trim portfolios during mergers, or create geographical or industry focus.

The typical due diligence and investment process takes 1-2 months to complete. Over this period of time, the Fund's due diligence team reviews mortgage loan files and collects additional underwriting information. The Team then outlines payment scenarios, assembles a strategy for handling each loan, and proposes price ranges for each loan in a given mortgage pool. After discussing the loan information in a committee format, final bids for each pool are set.

The Fund services the loans that it purchases using a proprietary loan servicing system, and closely tracks their performances.
