John M. Jacquemin is President and Founder of Mooring Financial Corporation, a private investment firm that specializes in the management of alternative assets for high net worth individuals and institutional investors. The firm manages two funds across different asset classes - distressed commercial loans, real estate tax liens, publicly traded equities and other assets. Mooring Financial Corporation currently manages $200 million in assets.

Prior to founding Mooring Financial Corporation in 1982, Mr. Jacquemin worked for Coopers & Lybrand as a management consultant for two years. He subsequently became Chief Financial Officer of CFC Corporation in Pennsylvania, where he spent five years.

Mr. Jacquemin received a B.A. degree in General Arts & Science from Pennsylvania State University, and earned his M.B.A. degree from Dartmouth College at the Tuck School of Business Administration. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Penn National Gaming Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, and the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia. Mr. Jacquemin was appointed to the Board of Overseers of the Tuck School of Business Administration in 2005.

Mr. Jacquemin received the Ernst & Young Greater Washington Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2006. He is President of The Jacquemin Family Foundation, which he established in 1997 to focus grants on organizations that provide educational and artistic opportunities for under-served children. Mooring Financial Corporation is a major sponsor of the Reston, Virginia Triathlon and a number of employees including Mr. Jacquemin compete annually. He resides in McLean, Virginia with his wife, Tracie, and their three daughters.



Dipesh Bhise joined Mooring Financial Corporation in 2001 and is focused on managing investments in the firm’s two hedge funds, Mooring Capital Fund and Mooring Intrepid Opportunity Fund. During his tenure with Mooring, Mr. Bhise has held positions of Director, Financial Planning and Executive Vice President. Prior to Mooring Financial Corporation, he worked as a management consultant with Mercer Management Consulting, a global strategy-consulting firm in their Washington DC office, and before that spent 3 years with KPMG Consulting, as a Senior Consultant. Mr. Bhise has consulted to several Fortune 500 companies on issues of importance to senior management. Mr. Bhise received his Bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounting from Sydenham College, Bombay and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.




Liz Schalow joined Mooring Financial Corporation in April 2002 and focuses on underwriting and management of Mooring Capital Fund’s loan portfolio. Prior to joining Mooring Financial Corporation, Ms. Schalow worked at Bank of America as a Compliance Officer and Charter One Mortgage as a Senior Auditor. Ms. Schalow received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics from Randolph-Macon College.



Allen Coker joined Mooring Financial Corporation in July 2009 and focuses on macroeconomic, industry and corporate-level research, across industry sectors and asset classes, for the Mooring Intrepid Opportunity Fund. Prior to joining Mooring Financial Corporation, Mr. Coker was an associate at Sankaty Advisors, the credit affiliate of Bain Capital. At Sankaty, he evaluated leveraged loans, high yield bonds, and equities in sectors including real estate, homebuilding, building products, and business services. Mr. Coker graduated magna cum laude from Williams College, with a B.A. in History, and holds an MBA, with high distinction, from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.




Jeremy Martin joined Mooring Financial Corporation in April 2003 and focuses on industry and corporate-level research, across industry sectors and asset classes, for the Mooring Intrepid Opportunity Fund. During his tenure with Mooring, Mr. Martin has held positions of Asset Manager and Financial Analyst. Mr. Martin received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Elon University and holds an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School at University of Maryland.




Edward Mahaney-Walter joined Mooring Financial Corporation in January 2009 and focuses on macroeconomic, industry and corporate-level research for the Mooring Intrepid Opportunity Fund, across industry sectors and asset classes, with a focus on the financial and real estate sectors. Prior to joining Mooring Financial Corporation, Mr. Mahaney-Walter was an analyst and later an associate in the Fixed Income Division of Morgan Stanley in New York City, where he worked in the principal lending group. He has experience with the underwriting, management and sale of commercial real estate loans and mortgage backed securities, and of secured revolving credit facilities for institutional clients. Mr. Mahaney-Walter received a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Brown University, with dual concentrations in Economics and International Relations.



Daniel Briotti joined Mooring Financial Corporation in June 2008 and focuses on underwriting, servicing and management of Mooring Capital Fund’s loan portfolio. During his tenure at Mooring, Mr. Briotti has assisted in monitoring asset databases, compiling and analyzing data of local and multi-state real estate markets, and liquidating REO properties. Mr. Briotti received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Richmond.



Jaime Marcus joined Mooring Financial Corporation in April 2010 and focuses on business development and investor relations for both Mooring Intrepid Opportunity Fund and Mooring Capital Fund. Prior to joining Mooring Financial Corporation, Mrs. Marcus was a Vice President at Meridian Investments. At Meridian, she was responsible for leading the marketing effort in the Midwestern territory for all tax-advantaged investments, which included initiating meetings with clients, evaluating their needs, and recommending the appropriate investment. Before joining Meridian, Mrs. Marcus was a Financial Advisor within the Global Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. Mrs. Marcus graduated from The George Washington University, with a B.A. in History, Minor in Business Administration.
